Rocky Mountains and Beyond

This is one of the most rugged national parks I have ever been to. It is incredibly beautiful and the amount of water is astounding to this California boy. The biggest problem we had was the altitude. We camped at 8,000 feet and many of the hikes in the park are between 8,000 and 12,000 feet in altitude. The hike to Alberta Falls (image shown) was only a couple of miles round trip, but it felt like a hike which was twice as long.
